Division of Elections Announces Absentee Ballot Mailing Dates for General Election
Secretary of State Ken Detzner released the following statement prior to Supervisors of Elections mailing absentee ballots for the General Election on November 4, 2014:
“Tomorrow marks the mailing date of absentee ballots to absent uniformed services members and overseas citizens for the General Election,” said Secretary of State Ken Detzner. “Absentee ballots are required by law to be sent to absent uniformed services members and overseas citizens no later than 45 days before the election. Supervisors of Elections will be sending ballots for domestic voters who have previously requested absentee ballots during a seven-day window from September 30 to October 7.
As the General Election nears on November 4, I encourage all eligible voters to participate in the democratic process.”
