Media Advisory: Florida Department of State Kicks off Florida’s Got the Blues Music Tour at Bradfordville Blues Club

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –

On Saturday, June 3, Secretary of State Ken Detzner and the Florida Department of State are kicking off the Florida’s Got the Blues music tour on Florida Music Tours at the Bradfordville Blues Club (BBC) in Tallahassee at 8:30 p.m.

The Florida’s Got the Blues music tour spotlights the history of blues music in Florida, as well as related genres of gospel, jazz and rhythm and blues. The interactive online tour features profiles of influential Florida blues musicians and lists venues, festivals and historical sites related to Florida blues music that people can visit.

The Florida’s Got the Blues music tour launch coincides with a concert featuring Ocala blues musician Joey Gilmore and his band, TCB Express. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. and the show starts at 9:00 p.m. A Florida Music Tours presentation will take place prior to the concert.
