2020 - 2025 Strategic Plan Listening Sessions

The purpose of the Florida Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs Listening Sessions is to gather feedback from as many stakeholders as possible to help inform the Division's strategic planning process. Local arts agencies and cultural organizations are uniquely positioned to listen to and then share the ideas of a broad cross-section of our communities—from the business community to artists.

Interested organizations are asked to conduct up to 5 Listening Sessions and include individuals from the various Division stakeholder groups including:

  • Arts and Cultural Organizations
  • Artists
  • Students
  • Local Tourism Offices
  • Destination Marketing Organizations
  • Chambers of Commerce, including ethnic chambers
  • Business Community
  • Education-related Organizations
  • Board Members
  • Local Arts Agency Staff
  • Elected and Appointed Officials
  • Other

At the conclusion of the Listening Sessions, the host organizations will report the stakeholder group's perspectives and comments. The results from these listening sessions will be used to facilitate conversations with key stakeholders and compiled into a statewide report for use during the Strategic Planning process. 

Listening Sessions will be held statewide March 25 - April 5, 2019.
