MartinArts is recruiting for a Development & Membership Manager (salary range $36,000-$45,000) to be a part of a hard-working, dedicated team who advocates for the arts because they love the arts. Each member of our staff has a personal connection making our work deeply meaningful.

The Development and Membership Manager position is a full time, exempt position supporting MartinArts efforts to inspire participation and passion for the arts in our community. This position is primarily externally facing.

The Development and Membership Manager supports organization-wide efforts to develop a strong and vibrant fund raising, membership, and sponsorship program through donor cultivation and relationship building. The Development and Membership Manager will manage the Fund Development Committee and coordinate recruitment of new members.

Responsibilities include managing the fund development and membership programs, some event management, and hands-on administrative support. As a small organization, MartinArts staff members pitch in to get things done as a team.

Our future is bright as we look the grow the arts through a more comprehensive arts center. Located at the site of the historic Stuart High School, our vision for project is to incorporate space for working artists and for small nonprofit organizations, have a recital hall and event rental space, and encourage collaboration across all the arts disciplines.

Signature events and programs for MartinArts includes the MartinArts Awards (aka the Marties), ArtsFest (since 1988), the Court House Cultural Center galleries, the Marvin S. Cone Annual High School Juried Art Show, Court Room Sessions, arts education programs and MartinArts-branded communications including a magazine, website, and social media promotions.

The MartinArts Foundation board has 18 members, and the Council board (a sunshine board) has 5 members plus 4 ex-officio members representing our key partners in the community: Martin County, City of Stuart, Martin County School Board, and the Economic Council of Martin County.
