The State of New Hampshire, Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, Arts, has a full time vacancy for a Grants Program Coordinator. 

Summary:
Plan and coordinate grants and services to meet Division of Arts goals to support and promote lifelong learning in the arts for NH citizens, with particular emphasis on pre-K-grade 12 students.

Responsibilities:
Administers Arts in Education grants programs for schools, nonprofit organizations, and educators. Advises grant applicants, reviews applications, and recommends appropriate action. Provides technical assistance in integrating arts into the curriculum, implementing arts-based after-school activities, and professional development for teaching artists.

Plans and coordinates annual arts in education professional development in partnership with the Department of Education, nonprofit organizations and professional associations.

Serves on the New Hampshire Arts Learning Network and cooperates with partners to administer website and produce newsletter.

Plans and coordinates the NH Poetry Out Loud program.

Reviews and evaluates applications from artists to work in schools. Develops training opportunities for teaching artists. Coordinates information about AE roster artists for use by educators to select artists for school residencies.

Provides leadership in arts education across disciplines. Facilitates partnerships among educators, parent groups, government officials, and others to raise awareness of arts as basic to education.

Analyzes data, conducts research, solicits input form advisory committees, and evaluates effectiveness of program activities. Participates in agencys planning process to identify goals, objectives and strategies for supporting and promoting lifelong learning in the arts for NH citizens.

Prepares oral and written presentations to promote arts education to variety of groups.

Acts as liaison to federal and national agencies that provide leadership in the area of arts educations; researches and prepares grant applications for federal and other funding to support Divisions arts education programming; works with Chief Grants Officer to submit grant applications in a timely manner; develops evaluation methods, and prepares required federal reports.

Performs graphic design and carries out website posting to Division website when the Program Assistant II is unavailable.

Serves on the agency public art management team.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited institute of higher education with major study in the arts, or public or business administration. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience: Three years experience in cultural institution or public administration, one year of which must have been associated with the arts. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of formal education.

License/Certification: Must be eligible to hold a drivers license and have access to transportation for use in extensive statewide travel.
