Description

The Greenville Museum of Art (GMoA) is hosting a juried group exhibition, Growing Up Queer in the South, guest curated by Parks McAllister. This exhibition will showcase work influenced and inspired by the experiences of growing up queer in the American South. The application is open to queer individuals who are 18 years or older, and who have spent part of their lives or can
identify with “growing up” in the American South.

How to Participate

All media will be considered but works must not have been exhibited at the GMoA previously. Artists can submit up to five (5) artworks but should clarify if multiple works are part of a series. There is no submission fee for this exhibition. Visit www.gmoa.org for the application. Please submit the application (one per work), a brief artist bio/statement (including age and location), along with up to three photos of the proposed works, to [email protected] (subject line “Queer Show – [LAST NAME]” by Sunday, February 27, 2022.
