The People That Got Us Here
Over the past 40 years, dozens of prominent folklorists have worked to preserve and promote folklife in Florida, forging innovative projects and building a legacy of programming that lives on today. Through their efforts, Florida Folklife has funded nearly 200 apprenticeships, awarded 134 Folk Heritage Awards, produced albums, films and radio programs, provided educational resources and conducted fieldwork in communities across the state.
