Duplication Procedures and Fees

We can provide copies of most of the materials in our collections on demand. Researchers are also welcome to photograph records with no flash.

We reserve the right to restrict the copying of any materials that could be harmed by such activity. Preservation is our goal.

Services are rendered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Large copy orders might not be completed on the day requested, but will be done as quickly as time permits.

Copy orders must be received no later than 15 minutes prior to the Archives closing for the day.

Payment must be received before copies are delivered. More details are available on our fee schedule (PDF).

Charges are authorized by Section 15.09, Florida Statutes. State law requires that all fees for services be collected in advance (see Attorney General Opinion 77-120).

We accept cash, checks, money orders (payable to the Florida Department of State), government purchase orders and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard and Discover). Please call with credit card numbers.

We will not loan records for outside copying.

If you quote from or reproduce any copied item in any publication or public exhibition, the Archives requires that you use proper citations (PDF)
