Kathy Mayo is a freelance consultant who volunteers to coordinate the Community Conversations Project for the Lee County Library System, following a long career managing library outreach programs.

The Community Conversations Project started with funding from a federal Library Services and Technology Act Grant awarded by the Department of State's Division of Library and Information Services in 2010.

Creating your own memory kit, Florida style

This session demonstrates how to build a memory kit to use with seniors and families.

As an example, we use our own memory kit based on some of Florida's oldest tourist attractions, like Weeki Wachee Springs, Marineland and Bok Tower. We built the kit using photos from the award-winning Florida Memory website.
