The Division manages the State Library and Archives, supports public libraries, directs records management services, and is the designated information resource provider for the state of Florida.
Although literary publications have been in the domain of academic libraries, public libraries are getting into the act now, too.
A project of the Manatee County Public Library, this publication showcases writers and artists from all over.
Many of these resources and programs are funded under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Florida's LSTA program is administered by the Department of State's Division of Library and Information Services.
