Center on the Developing Child – InBrief: The Science of Child Development

This video journal describes basic concepts of early childhood development which have been established over decades of neuroscience and behavioral research. The concepts help to illustrate why child development, particularly from birth to five years, is a foundation for a prosperous and sustainable society. 

Get Ready to Read Early Literacy Webinars

Get Ready to Read! is a website powered by the National Center for Learning Disabilities with information for professionals and parents. 

The webinars are designed for early childhood educators, child care providers and families and will provide participants with a sampler introducing them to the free online BUILDING BLOCKS FOR LITERACY program. 

Reading Rockets Launching Young Readers Series: Toddling Toward Reading

This video series is one of several produced by Reading Rockets and PBS. 

Seven segments include a children’s author plus several centers and schools across the country with successful literacy based programs.
