Whether they are checking symptoms, preparing for a visit to the doctor's office or searching for health maintenance information, users rely on libraries for authoritative health information. Join us to discuss your Florida Electronic Library Gale health resources, such as Health and Wellness Resource Center and Gale Virtual Reference Library. You'll learn about features you can point out to users who are researching health topics. We'll also brainstorm ways to utilize content to promote health awareness within your community.

Florida Libraries as Health Information Providers: Healthy Maitland

Florida libraries play a myriad of ever-evolving roles in the health of their communities. This webinar aims to explore the health-related contributions that programs at the Maitland Public Library make to the Maitland community. 

The Maitland Public Library has been at the forefront of health information provision, with programs including Fresh for Kids healthy cooking demonstrations, Walking Maitland and Hatha yoga classes.

Attendees will learn about the successes of the Healthy Maitland program and how they can replicate and expand on the achievements of guest speakers Ellen Schellhause, Stacie Larson and Mary Daniels of the Maitland Public Library.
