Streamlining the Publishing Process

For one of NSUWorks’ first publishing ventures, library staff collaborated with the Editor-in-Chief of The Qualitative Report (TQR), an open access, online-only journal.

A well-known and popular journal, TQR at that time handled its production through:

  • A third-party submission system
  • Editors’ personal email accounts
  • NSU’s website

Migrating to NSUWorks streamlined the process by consolidating editorial functions into one system. This migration also included a bevy of additional features such as:

  • Automatic cover pages
  • Built-in peer review workflows
  • Better search engine optimization

Since switching to NSUWorks, TQR has increased their submissions, downloads and interest from established journal-harvesting services, such as Web of Science.

NSUWorks now hosts many additional journals.
