What You Cannot Do
Accessibility and discrimination
Your organization cannot discriminate on the basis of disability in programs receiving federal financial assistance.
Your electronic and information technology resources must be accessible to people with disabilities.
This includes webpages developed or purchased with LSTA funds.
Grant recipients are required to comply with applicable state and federal regulations and the grant agreement.
Examples of specific requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Submitting reports.
- Returning interest earned on grant funds.
- Submitting an annual audit.
Any grant recipient who fails to submit reports, submits incomplete or late reports, or disobeys the regulations or grant agreement will be considered noncompliant.
Payments will be withheld from any organization if it is in noncompliance with any one of the Department of State's Divisions: Cultural Affairs, Historical Resources or Library and Information Services.
