Florida’s libraries do amazing things. We take a look at some of their special projects, achievements and awards on our Stars in the Sunshine State pages. 

Hendry County Library Cooperative used community/library partnerships to improve the unfavorable educational ratings in their county.

Public Library Directors Online Discussions

From March through June 2017 we will host online meetings to give public library directors opportunities to network and learn from each other

Each meeting will have a theme to guide the discussion. We encourage directors to add additional topics and questions for their colleagues.

2017 Teen Video Challenge Winner

Congratulations to Deven Otero, the 2017 Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) Teen Video Challenge winner for Florida!

The Teen Video Challenge is a national competition where teens create videos to promote summer reading and public libraries. This year’s focus was on the CSLP 2017 slogan Build a Better World.

Deven worked with staff from the Bruton Memorial Library in Plant City. His can be viewed on our YouTube page.
