  • Florida Artists Hall of Fame

    The Florida Artists Hall of Fame, the state's highest cultural honor, was established by the Florida Legislature in 1986 to recognize persons, living or deceased, who have made significant contributions to the arts in Florida either as performing or practicing artists in individual disciplines.

  • Poetry Out Loud

    Poetry Out Loud National Recitation Contest is a literature program for high school students in every state in the country.Poetry Out Loud participants master public speaking skills, build self-confidence, and learn about their literary heritage through poetry recitation.

  • Florida's Poet Laureate

    Florida’s Poet Laureate promotes reading, writing and the appreciation of poetry throughout the state and encourages students to express themselves through poetry and reading out loud.

  • Exhibitions

    A service to Florida artists and Capitol visitors, the Capitol Complex Exhibition Program showcases Florida artists through a series of visual art exhibitions throughout the Capitol Complex.

  • DOS Art Collection

    Established in 1997, the Florida Department of State Art Collection is a collection of donated artworks by Florida artists and art collectors. Selections from the collection are displayed throughout the State Capitol Building in Tallahassee.

  • Florida Folklife Program

    The Florida Folklife Program, documents and presents the folklife, folklore, and folk arts of the state.
