David H. Kenton

Dr. David H. Kenton is a higher education professional, specializing in enrollment management, retention, and student access and success. He is a product of Broward County Public Schools, a Horatio Alger National Scholar, a Hardee Fellow, and an Education Pioneers Fellow. Dr. Kenton has served in various leadership roles at Florida State University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Florida International University, North Carolina Central University, and Broward College. His academic research is primarily focused on how foster care students experience their transition from high school to the college environment. He currently serves as the Dean of Student Services at Broward College. Kenton also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Florida International University and North Carolina Central University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminology and a Doctor of Education degree from Florida State University. Dr. Kenton also holds a Juris Doctor degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law.
