    May Program of the Month

    Main Street Winter HavenSecretary of State Laurel M. Lee announced today that Main Street Winter Haven has been designated the May 2019 Florida Main Street Program of the Month. Programs are selected based on their development achievements and participation in the Florida Main Street Program.

    "Main Street Winter Haven is constantly innovating and coming up with new ideas to engage their community," said Secretary Lee. "I am so impressed with their dedication to the economic development of their downtown and preservation of their most treasured historic resources."

    April Program of the Month 

    Secretary of State Laurel M. Lee announced today that Melbourne Main Street has been designated the April 2019 Florida Main Street Program of the Month. Programs are selected based on their development achievements and participation in the Florida Main Street Program.

    “Melbourne Main Street has shown an exemplary commitment to the revitalization of Historic Downtown Melbourne,” said Secretary Lee. “The downtown area has grown to become a special place that nurtures its talented businesses owners, unique restaurants and rich historical resources.”

    March Program of the Month 

    Secretary of State Laurel M. Lee announced today that Main Street DeFuniak Springs has been designated the March 2019 Florida Main Street Program of the Month. Programs are selected based on their development achievements and participation in the Florida Main Street Program.

    “Main Street DeFuniak Springs has demonstrated an exemplary commitment to the revitalization of their downtown,” said Secretary Lee. “In just two years they have made a lasting and positive impact on their entire community.”

    February Program of the Month

    Secretary of State Laurel M. Lee announced today that the Grand Central District Association has been designated the February 2019 Florida Main Street Program of the Month. Programs are selected based on their development achievements and participation in the Florida Main Street Program.

    “The Grand Central District is a community committed to downtown revitalization,” said Secretary Lee. “They have proven that great success can be achieved when hard working residents come together to preserve their community’s history.”

    January Program of the Month 

     Secretary of State Michael Ertel announced today that Main Street Wauchula has been designated the January 2019 Florida Main Street Program of the Month. Communities are selected based on their development achievements and participation in the Florida Main Street Program.

    "Main Street Wauchula continues to stand out as one of our most successful programs," said Secretary Ertel. "The program has been an integral part in Main Street Wauchula's positive transformation since 1995."

    December Program of the Month

    Secretary of State Ken Detzner announced today the LaBelle Downtown Revitalization Corporation, also known as Downtown LaBelle, has been designated the December 2018 Florida Main Street Community of the Month. Communities are selected based on their development achievements and participation in the Florida Main Street Program.

    “We are proud to have Downtown LaBelle as part of our Main Street family” said Secretary Detzner. “This beautiful town reminds us of Florida’s great history while also bringing us into the future with their revitalization efforts.”
